AgentOS meters AI usage in tokens, drawn from a single shared pool that every app uses. You start each day with a free grant of 20,000 tokens, and you can top up when you need more. Here is how the meter works.

What is a token?

A token is the unit AgentOS uses to measure AI work — think of it as a small chunk of text. Google's developer documentation gives a useful rule of thumb: a token is about 4 characters, and 100 tokens are about 60–80 English words; the exact split depends on each model's tokenizer. A short question costs a few tokens; a long document and a long answer cost more. Both sides count: the Ollama API that serves models such as qwen2.5:14b reports the number of input tokens in the prompt and the number of output tokens in the response, and AgentOS debits your pool by the total for each request after the answer comes back. There is nothing to count by hand: AgentOS tracks it for you and draws from one pool no matter which app you are in.

One shared pool across eight apps

AgentOS is eight apps in one window — Files, AI Chat, Accounting, CRM, Email, Marketing Content, AI Notes and Translation — and they all spend from the same token pool. You do not manage a separate balance per app; a token used in Translation is a token not available in Chat, and vice versa.

Diagram: tokens come in from a free daily grant, one-time packs and a monthly subscription into one shared pool, and are spent by AI Chat, Marketing content, Translation, Notes and every other AI request across the workspace.
Tokens flow in from three sources into one pool, then out across every app's AI request.

Where tokens come from

There are three ways to get tokens:

  • Free daily grant — 20,000 tokens that reset each day, so casual use can be free.
  • One-time packs — buy a lump of tokens that stays in your pool until you use it.
  • Monthly subscription — a recurring allotment for heavier, regular use.

Packs and plans

One-time packs come in four sizes, and the price per million tokens drops as the pack gets bigger:

One-time token packs, indicative prices in SGD
PackPrice (indicative, SGD)≈ per 1M tokensNote
100kS$3≈ S$30
500kS$12≈ S$24Popular
2MS$42≈ S$21Save 29%
10MS$180≈ S$18Best value
Bar chart: approximate S$ per 1M tokens falls from about S$30 at the 100k pack to about S$24 at 500k (Popular), S$21 at 2M, and S$18 at the 10M pack (Best value).
Bigger packs lower the unit price per million tokens. Figures are indicative.

Subscriptions are billed monthly and suit steadier use: Lite at S$6/month (1M tokens), Standard at S$21/month (5M), and Pro at S$89/month (20M). Per token they cost far less than packs — the Standard plan works out at S$4.2 per 1M tokens, about 77% less than the cheapest pack (the 10M pack at S$18 per 1M). See the pricing page for every plan side by side.

Billing is pre-launch and not yet wired for live payment. Every price above is indicative and quoted in SGD (the base and billing currency); other currencies are shown as approximate conversions with the note "Billed in SGD". Please treat these numbers as a guide to how metering is structured, not a live commercial guarantee. You can download AgentOS and use the free daily grant in the meantime.
